3D Collections

With the VirtualEarth 3DVia software a user is able to create and share 3D models that others can view on the map. Users can then explore your collection and see your 3d Models on the map.

Is there a way to display this models with the map control? If so, how could it be done?

You can access the VEMap.GlobeControl (which is derived from the Virtual Earth GlobeControl) and call anything on there.  Use the regular VE3D api calls to load your models.

Hi Joshb, I'm trying to import 3d models into VE but having a bit of trouble getting them to display. I tried using the plugin samples from the VE documentation and have got them working in a win form control. Problem is when loading the same plugins in infostrat wrapper they don't display. Would it be possible to request for a code snippet or advice on how to load plugins when using your control.

Thanks,

Ramsis35

Loading plugins should be generally the same as in regular winforms.  Sorry I don't have any specific samples for the InfoStrat.VE control.
