Hi!

Absolutely fantastic work, but (there's always a but)...

Can you tell about the legal issues of using this control in a commercial application with regards to the Virtual Earth terms of use? Does the control require a VE developer key? Is the usage billable by Microsoft?

I'm not a lawyer so I can't advise you in that respect, but if you haven't yet, read over the Virtual Earth Terms of Use.

The control does not require a key.  Microsoft is not currently metering or tracking Virtual Earth usage, so it's up to individuals to determine the correct course of action.  Basically from the ToU if you are using it for commercial purposes in a production environment, you may need a separate agreement.
